1. Be A Good Neighbor
This is a listing of a few of the more basic rules for Spanish Cove. For a complete listing refer to the Covenants, Rules and Regulations, and By-Laws of POASC. These are mailed to the property owners at time of purchase. You will note that some of these actions require you to obtain a permit from the Spanish Cove Office; failure to do so could result in a fine.

Rules and Regulations Pertaining to the Covenants

1. A permit is needed to clear your lot - A contractor has to post a bond. (See Section 3.1 of the Rules and Regulations)
2. A permit is need for any construction - a fee is charged. (See Section 8.37, 8.40, & 8.45 of the POASC Covenants)
3. A permit is needed to remove trees. (See Section 8. 10 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
4. Signs are not permitted except for: For Sale, Political, and Announcements. Permission is still required. (See Section 8.12 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
5. Wells are permitted in particular conditions with a permit. (See Section 8.17 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
6. No Fireworks Allowed. (See Section 8.21 of the POASC Covenants)
7. Construction crews must clean up their sites and/or work areas. (See Section 8.23 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
8. Permission is needed for temporary occupancy for visitors in a recreational vehicle in all Sections of the Cove. (See Sections 8.34, 838, & 8.42 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
9. Yard sales are allowed one time due to death, bankruptcy, foreclosure, or moving. (See Section 10.04 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
10. There are Lease and Rental Regulations. (See Section 15.02 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
11. Pets must be on a leash and fecal deposits must be cleaned up. May not become an annoyance or Nuisance. (See Section 8.11 of the POASC Rules and Regulations)
12. There are guidelines for parking of boats, vehicles, and RV's. (See Section 8.06 of the POASC Covenants)
Definition of the following Articles are found in Articles III, Rules and Regulations Pertaining to By-Laws Section 3.2 numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, & 9

13. The POASC Clubhouse is available to all members in good standing. A fee may be charged.
14. No one under 16 is permitted to drive on POASC roads.
15. Rules for the pier and the beach are posted.
16. Road limits are 25 miles per hour. No overnight parking on any roads.
17. Skates/skateboards are not allowed on the pier, shuffleboard courts, walkways, tennis courts, parking lots, or culverts.
18. Swimming pool - Pass needed - No Lifeguards - Rules are posted
19. Wilderness Areas - No clearing, altering, cutting, or dumping in these areas
20. No solicitation except by permit for activities directly related to the operation of the POASC- apply at the Spanish Cove Office
21. Quiet time is from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. seven days a week.

The POASC Covenants, Rules and Regulations and By-Laws are written to protect the residents of Spanish Cove and enhance their property value. They also are meant to show respect for each other as neighbors.
